Internal mail services
Inter-office mail at the University of Gothenburg is collected and delivered on scheduled runs in the morning and afternoon.
The internal mail services are organised in a nodal system with 8 nodes. Nodes 1 (the central node) and 4 are at Medicinaregatan 20 C. All internal mail is sorted at node 1. Node 1 also distributes internal information and GU Journalen as well as being responsible for GU’s address register.
Distribution of internal mail is coordinated with distribution of goods from the GU shop. However, the internal mail service is dimensioned to transport normal mail between the university’s units. For transporting other items one of the courier- or removal firms that have framework agreements with the University are recommended.
